Statement on Judicial Intimidation and Retaliation
Filed October 24, 2025 – Vista Courthouse, Department 4
The retaliation against the Robinson-Lopez family appears to have been initiated by Guardian ad Litem Supervisor Nicole McConn after she demanded that lawful public photos of a court-appointed official, Lisa Haight, be removed from an advocacy website. There is an independent witness who observed and heard this demand. When that request was refused, Ms. McConn coordinated with the assigned caregiver to pursue a retaliatory restraining-order petition naming the family’s minor grandchildren.
The filing coincided with a threat previously issued by Ms. McConn on or about August 12, 2025, when she stated that she would “see what the courts will do about it.” That threat was carried out in the present proceeding.
During the October 24, 2025 hearing, Judge Alejandro Morales referenced the family’s 88-year-old dependent elder multiple times, stating words to the effect of, “I know you take care of your mother; I’d hate to see you get arrested.” Such remarks were perceived as intimidation and coercion — an attempt to use an elder family member as leverage to force silence and compliance.
The collective maintains that these retaliatory actions, carried out by the Guardian ad Litem Supervisor, the caregiver, and cooperating agency officials, constitute witness tampering, abuse of authority, and a direct attempt to suppress evidence of trauma, coercion of a minor, and a potential sexual-abuse cover-up.
The family’s advocacy and free speech remain focused on one purpose: exposing the truth, protecting the children, and securing their safe return home.
