They tried to contain it local, now it’s gone global.
Two judges. Two fates. One lifts families from the ashes — the other grinds them into dust. This is the Heaven and Hell of family court… and the children are the ones who burn.
Amy Marie Brown and Her Honorable Judge
This is Amy Marie Brown — a CPS victim who fought her way back from the edge of destruction. She recovered, she stood proud, and for a while, she had hope. But the system still found a way to crush her. On Christmas morning, at only 31 years old, Amy’s life was cut short — far too young to be dying. She was Keenan’s mother and the grandmother of the stolen, kidnapped girls now suffering under San Diego CWS state custody. Her absence is another wound this system can never erase.
In Florida, a vile judge named Marci Goodman played her like a pawn, dragging her through legal games until Christmas morning 2008, when her fight ended forever. She never had the chance to be a grandmother. She is no longer with us.
Here she is with an Illinois judge who actually believed in her recovery — two human beings sharing a rare moment of dignity and hope. One judge saw her as a human being, worthy of respect.
CALERO THE SAN DIEGO TYRANT
Exposing Alexander Calero
Now look at San Diego’s Judge Alexander Calero — a cold, self-righteous, child-stealing bastard who hides behind closed doors to run a corrupt courtroom. When the mother of my stolen granddaughters, Evelyn Lopez, completed her six months of programs, Calero didn’t congratulate her, didn’t commend her, didn’t even acknowledge her progress. Instead, he spat on her with his words — skipping over every ounce of her work and going straight into a tirade about “no transportation” and “reconciliation,” as if those were crimes. He stripped her of dignity in seconds, making it clear that no matter how hard she fought, he would twist the outcome against her.
One judge restores families. Another destroys them. Calero? He’s worse — he’s a deliberate saboteur of reunification, a black-robed predator feeding the machine while families bleed out in front of him. He doesn’t just rule against parents — he crushes them, grinding their hope into the dirt and leaving children to rot in state custody.
This thing in a robe is no man, no judge, and no servant of justice. It’s a predator without conscience, a hollow vessel of cruelty wielding unchecked power. Calero’s courtroom isn’t a hall of justice — it’s a slaughterhouse for families, and this creature stands at the head of the table with a smirk, carving up lives and calling it “law.”
JUSTICE AND INJUSTICE
Amy Marie Brown is gone at 31. Her granddaughters are still trapped, tortured under San Diego CWS — proof that this system doesn’t save families, it destroys them.
And then there was Florida’s Judge Marci Goodman — a different kind of adversary.
She and I went toe-to-toe for years, and she knew I had plenty to say about her. She once called me into chambers and said, “Mr. Robinson has a lot to say about me.” I told her, “Yes, I do, Your Honor. And I have more coming.”
Strange as it sounds, she respected that. When Amy died on Christmas morning 2008, I called the sheriff’s department — and Goodman herself called me while I was driving. She told me to pull over because I was upset. Then she said, “I’m going to hang up and call you back,” so she could give me her direct work-duty number.
In the middle of all the battles, there was still that one rare flicker of humanity — a sign she still saw the people in her courtroom as human beings, even in conflict. San Diego’s Judge Calero will never have that — because a soulless, self-righteous predator can’t respect the people he’s destroying. He feeds on their pain, grinning as families burn.
Goodman never tried to erase my dignity — even when she kept Amy from us, it wasn’t out of malice. Calero’s entire courtroom runs on malice.
