What San Diego County is doing to Malaika and Xayah and our family is institutionalized human savagery
Elizabeth Hernández oversees an agency responsible for family strengthening and child protection services. So how does leadership reconcile that mission with a family repeatedly reporting false information in social-worker records, children screaming and emotionally collapsing during forced separations, serious abuse and sexual-abuse concerns the family says were not adequately investigated, expert testimony warning of catastrophic psychological and emotional harm, and Malaika and Xayah remaining separated from their mother, father, grandfather, siblings, extended family, culture, heritage, and home?
Our family has recordings, video, medical documentation, agency records, court records, sworn statements, and expert evidence that can be examined. Leadership is not simply occupying the office at the top of an organizational chart. Leadership means confronting what is happening underneath it. If Health and Human Services exists to make families healthier and safer, then examine what your own system is doing to Malaika and Xayah. How healthy is forced separation? How safe is ignored trauma? How does permanently severing children from their family and heritage strengthen a family? Those are questions HHSA leadership should answer.
