For more than a year, my family has lived through the same cycle: child theft, retaliation, trauma, cover-ups, and lies. I’ve documented every step of it. But it doesn’t stop there. Every time we expose the truth, they double down with more paper, more fabrications, more psychological terrorism.
Child Theft & Harassment
San Diego County Child Welfare Fraud ripped my granddaughters from their mother and their blood family. Not because of abuse, not because of neglect, but because it suited their agenda. When we protested, when we blogged, when we spoke at the Board of Supervisors, the retaliation only got harsher — cut visits, fake allegations, constant harassment.
Trauma & Cover-Ups
The girls cry, scream, cling to their mother, and beg to come home. We have preserved the video and audio. The trauma is visible, audible, and impossible to miss. Yet instead of confronting what these children are going through, San Diego CWS buries it beneath reports and bureaucratic language. Serious concerns involving possible sexual abuse, medical problems, and emotional collapse are minimized while the machinery of separation keeps moving forward.
Case-Fixing
David Miller was “removed” from the case — but his fingerprints are still all over the reports. He keeps writing from the shadows, case-fixing, declaring the girls are “happy with the non-relative caregiver, Norma Olivares.” It’s a lie. Ashlee Purnell played her part, too — twisting reports, threatening the mother, manufacturing false narratives. Judge Calero rubber-stamped it all without question. This is not child welfare. This is rigged from the inside.
False Reports & Lies
For over a year, a non-relative caregiver Norma Olivares, David Miller, and Ashlee Purnell have filled reports with slander: rape, molestation, stalking, abuse. All lies. All unproven. And here’s the truth: not once was a police call ever made. Not once did law enforcement open an investigation. Not once was I arrested, charged, or even questioned. Because they know it’s fabricated. If their accusations were real, the police would have been at my door in seconds. Instead, they just write this garbage on paper, pass it between themselves, and act like it’s fact. That is not child protection — that is fraud.
Weaponizing Government Power
This is where David Miller stands apart. He isn’t just a liar. He has weaponized his government position to carry out a personal vendetta. He misuses the authority of the state to target innocent people, punish families for speaking out, and silence anyone who challenges him. That is not social work — it is abuse of power. It is government harassment, plain and simple.
Character Assassination
The Guardian ad Litem’s office eventually joined the campaign against me. Lisa Haight targeted me while I continued documenting the case publicly. After I blogged about her and refused to remove her photo, she walked away, and Nicole McConn stepped into the conflict and carried it forward. Background checks, accusations, restraining-order tactics, and attacks on my character became another front in the same fight. None of it changes why I spoke out in the first place: my granddaughters were suffering, and I refused to pretend otherwise.
The Truth They Fear
They can generate reports, repeat accusations, change workers, change attorneys, and stack one filing on top of another, but paperwork cannot rewrite what actually happened. It cannot erase the recordings, the medical records, the children crying for their family, the retaliation that followed public exposure, or the people who witnessed this case unfold. The harder this family pushed for answers, the harder the system pushed back.
My granddaughters cry to come home. They want their mother. They want their grandfather. No restraining order, no false report, no mountain of paper can erase that truth. This will not stop until they are home. And I will not stop exposing them.
And Now the Restraining Order Scam.
I have never met Norma Olivares in my life, not once. Yet this non-relative caregiver became the vehicle for a restraining-order case that even dragged my own grandchildren into it. Then the Guardian ad Litem’s office became involved in carrying that fight forward. A court order does not erase the history behind it, and it does not turn years of public criticism and documented family advocacy into misconduct. What it does show is how far this conflict has escalated against a grandfather who continued speaking publicly.
This is the Guardian ad Litem’s office retaliating because I refused to take down Lisa Haight’s photo. The retaliation started with the agency and Lisa Haight. Then, without any notice or explanation to me, Haight simply disappeared from the case. The next thing I knew, Nicole McConn was introducing herself as a supervisor and demanding that I remove Haight’s photos from my website. McConn then carried that same pressure forward. Now McConn is using the power of that office against me because I continue speaking out, documenting what happened, and protecting my girls. This isn’t justice. This is retaliation, harassment, and an abuse of institutional power against a grandfather who refuses to be silenced.
BOTTOM LINE
More than a year later, the mountain of paper has only grown, but the central truth has not changed. Malaika and Xayah have a mother, a grandfather, siblings, extended family, and people who continue fighting for them. Our family spoke out about what was happening, and the response was more accusations, lost visits, escalating restrictions, restraining orders, and deeper separation. They can keep producing reports, repeating narratives, and trying to bury this family under paperwork, but paperwork does not erase recordings, medical records, witnesses, the girls’ own reactions, or the history of how this case unfolded. Malaika and Xayah are not forgotten, this family is not going away, and the fight continues until our children are back with the family that loves them.
