She didn’t rescue them — she captured them. And she made sure the mother never heard her baby cry “Mommy” on her first birthday.
Ashlee Purnell retaliated after the mother left the state — her ego bruised, her control defied. She bragged about watching their movements through red-light cameras like she ran her own surveillance unit. She threatened a breastfeeding mother with U.S. Marshals over a petty misdemeanor, conspired with Norma Olivares to lure her back, and had her thrown in jail for five days — even though the charge was dismissed on day one and no actual charges were ever filed.
That same day, both of the mother’s young daughters were taken — the toddler and her breastfeeding baby sister. She timed it so the mother would miss her baby’s first birthday — a day the child spent screaming in state custody without her mother’s comfort, milk, or love. The older child was traumatized, confused, and silenced.
This wasn’t child protection. It was psychological warfare — calculated cruelty by a grandiose narcissist hiding behind a badge.
She called me relentlessly, asking for the family’s location — pretending to be an ally. But once the mother was captured, Ashlee Purnell flipped. “Grandparents have no rights in California,” she told me coldly. Then came the threat: take down the blog post, or they’d cut off my visits with my granddaughters. I’m posting her text here so no one can deny what really happened.

“No rights, no mercy. Just monthly crumbs.”

Now there’s suspicion of molestation. And still, she calls that protection.”

Updated – September 2025: My two granddaughters remain hostage in San Diego County’s system. Instead of reunification, Child Welfare Services and the Guardian ad Litem’s office retaliated by placing restraining orders on me — their RFA-approved paternal grandfather, an elder, caregiver, conservator and trustee. This is not child protection. It is punishment for speaking out and exposing abuse, false reporting, and violations of human dignity.
Updated – October 2025: These officials no longer act with humanity or conscience. Their decisions reflect a system stripped of empathy — one that punishes love, silences truth, and violates basic human dignity. My granddaughters remain hostages of bureaucracy, not beneficiaries of justice.
