Broken Compass: The GAL Who Led Two Little Girls into a Nightmare

“i have seen the blog. The blog. The blog.”
That’s all she said in the CFT meeting — not the children, not their cries, not their pain.
While Malaika and Xayah remain abducted, held hostage, and traumatized, she spoke only about the blog.
Not the abduction.
Not the abuse.
Not the suffering.
Just the blog — as if exposing injustice was the real crime.
To them, the kidnapping is fine. The trauma is fine. The lies are fine.
But the truth? The truth lives in the blog.

Lisa Haight

Lisa Haight doesn’t just abuse her power — she feeds off it. This isn’t negligence. This is sadism in a skirt suit. She gets off on watching children scream for their mothers, on watching families collapse under the weight of state terror. She isn’t just biased — she’s vindictive, punishing a blood family for daring to speak out, for daring to expose the truth. What kind of guardian ad litem chooses liars, traffickers, and non-relatives over a loving family? What kind of woman weaponizes her bruised ego to keep children from their crying mother — while they’re hospitalized, traumatized, screaming and begging to come home? Lisa Haight isn’t protecting anyone. She’s orchestrating pain. This isn’t advocacy — it’s enjoyment of human suffering. She is a predator cloaked in credentials. And she must be exposed.

She didn’t stop at attacking the mother. Lisa Haight made it her personal mission to destroy the paternal side too — especially the grandfather. She obsessed over him, demanded his records at every meeting, fought placement solely to keep the girls away from him, even when he was RFA-approved. Why? Because he wouldn’t bow. Because he had a blog. Because he wouldn’t shut up. This wasn’t about safety — it was about ego, revenge, and total control. She would rather see those little girls scream in agony than admit she was wrong.

I can’t even show my granddaughters off to my neighbors — but this caregiver who has broken every rule of caregiving — engaging in deceit, manipulation, and efforts to unlawfully keep and alienate the children from their blood family, a non-relative who dumps them in daycare and pockets state money, gets to traffic them to the Dominican Republic? That’s not justice. That’s state-sponsored kidnapping.

“She’s the reason we speak out louder.”

“How many more children will she hurt before someone stops her?”

“We demand an investigation.”

Update – August 12, 2025: According to the family, Guardian ad Litem supervisor Nicole McConn pressured the grandfather to remove photos of Lisa Haight. When he refused — citing Haight’s year-long campaign of character assassination — the office went to court and secured a restraining order against his own grandchildren. The family says McConn’s actions continue to terrorize an elder and further prove the system is weaponizing its power instead of working toward reunification.

Updated – September 2025: My two granddaughters remain hostage in San Diego County’s system. Instead of reunification, Child Welfare Services and the Guardian ad Litem’s office retaliated by placing restraining orders on me — their RFA-approved paternal grandfather, an elder, caregiver, conservator and trustee. This is not child protection. It is punishment for speaking out and exposing abuse, false reporting, and violations of human dignity.

Updated – October 2025: These officials no longer act with humanity or conscience. Their decisions reflect a system stripped of empathy — one that punishes love, silences truth, and violates basic human dignity. My granddaughters remain hostages of bureaucracy, not beneficiaries of justice.

Malaika and Xayah Robinson were taken into San Diego County Child Welfare custody in June 2024. They remain separated from their family today, placed with a non-relative caregiver, Norma Olivares. Their grandfather and mother continue to fight for their return and for accountability within the system. A small group of dedicated advocates has now joined the fight, standing beside this family in their pursuit of justice and reunification.
