SENATOR JOSH HAWLEY, WHERE ARE YOU?

Senator Hawley, I have watched you confront people in Washington with a level of force and directness that very few politicians are willing to use. I have watched you challenge government officials, expose hypocrisy, and go after people you believe have abused power or harmed the public. That is exactly why I wrote to you, not once, but twice.

So where is that same fight when it comes to innocent American families being torn apart by Child Protective Services and the child-welfare system?

Where is the outrage over families being torn apart, children suffering catastrophic emotional harm, false and contradictory reports being used against parents and relatives, retaliation against people who speak publicly, and billions of dollars flowing through a system that is supposed to protect children but too often destroys families instead? Where is the investigation into what happens when government agencies become untouchable and everyone around them is afraid to challenge them?

I am asking you directly: are politicians afraid to confront this massive, federally funded child-welfare machine? Are they afraid to confront child-welfare agencies because of the power they hold over families? Are they afraid these agencies will come after their own children or grandchildren? Because from where I stand, that fear and silence are helping this crisis spread.

I have already written to you twice about Malaika and Xayah Robinson. Their family is still fighting. Their suffering continues. The damage is not theoretical. It is documented in recordings, reports, court records, medical records, sworn statements, and expert testimony.

You are known for confronting people others are afraid to confront. So confront this. Look at what is happening inside the child-welfare system. Ask why families are being destroyed. Ask why children are suffering catastrophic psychological and emotional harm in the name of protection. Ask why so many people with the power to investigate remain silent.

If you are willing to fight government abuse everywhere else, why not here?
