Update — June, 30, 2026: Jessica Leigh Reportedly AliveReports first claimed Jessica Leigh had died. A new update from Dalles Wielenga says Jessica is alive, did not fake her death, and plans to speak publicly Friday at 8 PM EST about the rumors and her CPS/custody case.This page is being updated to reflect the new information.
Confusing update on Jessica Leigh: conflicting reports are now circulating. Some claim she did not die and that the announcement may have been false or connected to a hacked account. Nothing has been confirmed yet. Updates will follow when something official becomes available.
She was a mother who was targeted by Union County DSS, North Carolina that took her son in 2021. This is the same state where the murder trial is taking place involving Trenton Shuler and Moriah Foster aka Blake and London Deven who were abused, dismembered, and burned by their former foster provider, Avantae Deven. Upon finding the children’s remains in a burn barrel, the state publicly announced they are running a broken system.
Ever since the state took her son, Jessica engaged in her own legal battle with this broken system. She became widely known in many advocacy circles and was regarded as an inspirational figure, a mom fighting for her son, to right a wrong that devastated their family. The state did their usual worst, falsely accusing her of negligence, slamming her with conditions and a promise of reunification… until they decided to pursue a permanency plan.
She brought the case before the Court of Appeals, which just affirmed the termination of parental rights against her. Upon learning she lost her case, she lost the will to live. My heart goes out to her family and especially to her little boy. I am equally outraged by what’s happened and continue to be determined to hold the industry and its agents accountable for their crimes and wrongdoings. No state should be allowed to take children when they admit their system is broken.
More pointedly, this industry must be shut down immediately. The government has legalized these crimes. The court system enforces them. The people are being preyed on for their money and children. The industry profits at the expense of human lives. Victims of this industry are at an exponentially higher risk of suicide and the cause is becoming abundantly clear. States are taking, trafficking, and killing children for profit. Parents and families are left without rights and any legal means to fight back. Really we can’t call it suicide when this industry comes after you and forces you out of existence.
What needs to be understood is that this is a global multibillion dollar industry that operates locally through state and private agencies. Unsuspecting parents are blindsided when the industry decides to target them. Understandably they remain focused on the local agencies not realizing what they are actually up against. Understandably they advocate for reforms with the belief that the system is about care and support. The truth is the system is part of a profit-making scheme. The truth is states aren’t running a foster care system, they are running a child supply market.
It’s imperative we all wise up to this reality. The industry stops at nothing to make its profits. The government has legalized it, states supply it with our children. Jessica was just one of tens of thousands of mothers in the US fighting against this predatory industry. All children taken by states across the country are at risk. Virtually every state has admitted to running a “broken system” so they get more funding. This scam has gone on for far too long and at the cost of far too many lives. When states are committing crimes, they don’t need reforms and more money, they need to be held accountable. Let’s honor Jessica by taking immediate decisive action to stop the funding and stop the supply of children. Stop these crimes.

I have the Judge that was prompting Isabella’s Dad to submit more evidence but she was ruling in his favor anyway- on recording from the September hearing I never went to saying “sorry, I cant help you anymore- she wont listen to us anyway.
“And you are damn freaking sure I wont.
You NEVER had jurisdiction
and if for some reason another person created equally even could have jurisdiction- the moment you refused my evidence and ALL of the laws you pretended to follow- you definitely lost it then.
So damn straight I will not be obeying a bullshit order when I have God given rights

Is there anything “official” reporting the death of Jessica? Obit, police report, family statement, anything other than Facebook posts?

Not yet. Right now the reports I’ve seen are circulating from people close to the case on Facebook/X. Since this reportedly just happened Friday, official records, an obituary, or a family statement may take time to appear.
